About BIHYU Martial Arts

BIHYU Martial Arts (비휴 무도) was founded to provide structured training in traditional Korean martial arts with a clear focus on discipline, technical precision, and long-term development.

Our programs are designed not only to teach martial arts, but to help students develop confidence, discipline, and habits that carry into everyday life.

Training is offered through partnerships with local community centers, schools, and wellness programs, making high-quality martial arts instruction accessible to children, youth, adults, and older participants across the Bay Area.

To develop disciplined and capable individuals through structured martial arts training that builds technical skill, self-control, and long-term personal growth.

Our Mission

To create a training environment where traditional martial arts are practiced with integrity, technical excellence, and respect for cultural tradition — supporting lifelong physical development, discipline, and personal growth.

Our Vision

Our Martial Arts Philosophy

BIHYU Martial Arts is guided by a training philosophy rooted in the traditions of Korean martial arts.

Our approach views martial arts not simply as physical exercise or competitive sport, but as a disciplined practice that develops both the body and the mind over time.

Training emphasizes patience, consistency, and attention to detail. Students learn that real progress comes through repeated practice, gradual improvement, and respect for the learning process.

Rather than focusing on rapid advancement or short-term results, BIHYU Martial Arts prioritizes strong fundamentals, technical precision, and responsible partner training. This approach supports long-term development of skill, confidence, and self-discipline.

Through structured instruction, students develop coordination, balance, and body awareness while also building habits of perseverance, respect, and personal responsibility.

For many students, this training becomes more than a physical activity — it becomes a foundation for lifelong learning, personal growth, and long-term well-being.
